Our Press Officer was present at our development game against Horrabridge on Saturday 4th October, here's some pictures that were taken:
A desperate plea from our Club for any businesses who can help us to provide football for our children this coming season. With two weeks to go, our club has been hit by an arson attack.
On Friday night at approx 11.45, our lock up based at Hoskins Park was set alight and burnt to the ground. The police and fire service say it was caused by malicious arson and probably by youth from another area of Plymouth.
In our lock up we stored all our goal nets, brand new goals for our 9v9 pitch (only bought new last season), our grass cutting machine, our lining machine, all our flags and poles, various training equipment and our 4 sets of mini soccer Samba Goals.
This has all been destroyed.
Our club, is a community club, developing football in children from the age of 4 in our academy, up to through to our under 18's. We have some 170 children who enjoy playing and learning about football.
Chaddlewood Miners AFC is run completely by volunteers who get enjoyment out of seeing young players enjoying and developing their game of football, whilst also enjoying the game and we rely 100 % on sponsorship, donations and fundraising.
If there is anything you can do to help us, please contact our Club Secretary, Teresa Hill on 07535093409.
Friday 20th June is the night where we celebrate our players and coaches with a presentation evening at Boringdon Golf Club. All our players, coaches and parents will gather and celebrate the tremendous amount of effort provided during the last season.
We have to thank a few companies who have enabled us to hold the presentation night this year.
Our thanks go to:
Borningdon Golf Club, for the use of their excellent facilities.
Trannins Automotive Specialists for sponsoring the night.
The following companies have provided draw prizes for the evening:
Yarde Farm Ice Creams
Plus of course our team sponsors, who without your support our youngsters wouldn't have a kit to play in.
On Sunday 1st June, between 11am and 2pm, there is a fun day at Hoskins Park, for all our younger players, up to and including the Under 9's.
Organised by Rachel, from the Under 7's team, there's going to be lots of fun and games available for the children, with football, and an inflatable assault course for them.
There will be a BBQ serving up fresh hot dogs and burgers, and cakes stall too. There will also be a Raffle.
Rachel has asked that we let everyone know that they will be asking for donations for BBQ to help cover the costs. Parking is likely to be problematic, so please park considerably, and leave the main lane clear to the houses.
If you are able to donate any cakes or raffle prizes they would happily accept all, to help cover costs.
For more information please contact Rachel on 07779992189 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
